We help people in the Republic of Ireland turn an early project idea into a practical, written enquiry — without pretending to design, approve, price or build it.
Why this exists
A home or garden project is usually a large, one-off decision taken under unfamiliar rules. Most of the information available online is published by firms that also want to sell you the work, and quotes are hard to compare because they often describe different jobs.
ConnectAndQuote.com is an independent first step: get your project clear on paper, understand the questions that actually move the price, then decide who to talk to.
Our role
We are an independent, multi-service enquiry platform. Each service we take briefs for — attic conversions and a set of outdoor structures at present — has its own page and its own questions, because the details a contractor needs differ from one kind of work to the next. We collect the practical details a person needs to review your request and decide whether to go looking for potentially suitable independent contractors for that kind of project.
Only with your permission may your enquiry be shared, and never with more than three contractors. You decide whether to reply, arrange a visit, ask for a price or proceed.
Where our role ends
We are not a builder, contractor, architect, engineer, planning consultant, building-control authority or quotation provider. We do not confirm feasibility, set prices, guarantee availability, or form any part of a later contract for work.
We also do not operate a contractor network. There is no panel of vetted or approved firms behind this site, and we will never describe one. Where a page says contractors have told us they are open to a kind of enquiry, that is stated willingness — not vetting, coverage, capacity or a promise that anyone will reply.
What we hold ourselves to
- Named services, done properly: we only take briefs for kinds of work we have deliberately set up, each with its own questions. We do not run an open-ended “any job” form.
- Questions that earn their place: every field on a form exists to help us review your request or describe it clearly to a contractor.
- Real consent: permission to share your enquiry is separate from optional advertising measurement, and neither is bundled into the other.
- Honest boundaries: no invented contractors, partnerships, coverage, reviews, prices or outcomes.
- Saying so when it does not work: if we cannot find a suitable contractor, we tell you.
