What we collect when you send a project enquiry, what we do with it, who else can see it, and how to get it back or deleted.

Who is responsible for your information

ConnectAndQuote.com is the controller for information you submit through this site. Contact the controller at Human@ConnectAndQuote.com or through the contact page.

What we collect, and why

When you send a project brief we collect your name, phone number, county, area or Eircode, the project answers that service's form asks for, any notes and — where the form offers it — zero to five optional photographs. Each service asks its own questions; the attic-conversion form, for example, also asks for your connection to the home, the property type, the intended use and an indicative budget. If you message us instead, we collect what you put in that message.

We also record technical and abuse-prevention information needed to run and protect the site.

We use all of this to reply to you, to decide whether an enquiry is genuine, within the scope of that service and within the Republic of Ireland, to look for contractors once it is, to keep a record of the permission you gave, to prevent misuse, and to meet legal obligations.

We initially ask only for your area or Eircode. We may ask for an exact address later if it is needed to handle your enquiry; you do not need to include it in your initial notes or photographs.

Who else sees it

Every service-enquiry form asks you to agree that we may store and review your enquiry, contact you about it, and share it with up to three potentially suitable independent contractors for that kind of work. This permission is required to submit a service enquiry. We never share with more than three contractors or without the permission requested on the form.

We do not sell your details, publish them, or circulate them to an open list of businesses.

Technical providers process information on our behalf — Vercel, which hosts the site and stores any photographs, MongoDB Atlas, which stores your enquiry, and Resend, which delivers our internal email alerts. Those alerts go to our own staff mailbox and contain the ticket reference, the service, source page, received time, a staff-authenticated admin link and the details you submitted, including your name, phone number and any notes; they do not contain your photographs. The contents of your enquiry and your photographs are never sent to Google Ads.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry information and photographs until two weeks after the enquiry is resolved, then delete them. We may retain a limited record longer where required to establish consent, handle a complaint, meet a legal obligation or protect the service from misuse.

Your rights

Subject to the limits in law, you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, transfer it, or object to a particular use. You can withdraw your permission at any time, which stops any further sharing by us — though it cannot undo sharing that has already lawfully happened.

You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission.

Cookies and optional advertising measurement

The Google advertising tag stays blocked until you choose to allow optional cookies. Reject them and it never loads. Change your mind later and that choice is remembered.

If you do allow them, a newly accepted enquiry sends a service identifier and a random reference number so we can tell which advert led to it. It does not send your name, phone number, Eircode, notes, photographs or any of your form answers.

Where that permission exists, we may also store Google click and campaign parameters alongside your enquiry for the same purpose. None of this is required to submit the form, and refusing it does not affect how your enquiry is handled.

Photographs

Where a form accepts photographs, they are optional and stored privately — they are not published and not reachable from a public link. Please do not include people, documents, number plates or house numbers in them.

Making a request

Use the contact page or email Human@ConnectAndQuote.com and say “privacy request”. Include enough detail for us to find your enquiry — normally the name and phone number you used. Please do not upload identity documents or other sensitive material. We acknowledge complaints and withdrawal requests as soon as they are received, at any time.
